Upcoming Important Dates

Chico Invitational - June 14th - 16th at Durham Pool

  • Registration open - https://ome.swimconnection.com/meets/3331
  • Registration Deadline - June 9th or when the meet is full.
  • Fees - $10 splash fee, $5 per event
  • All swimmers are encouraged to register. We are here to help you register. 
  • Watch for next week's email for specifics regarding this meet.  

Registering for Invitationals and Duals for the First Time

Remind - Phone App

If you have not done so yet, it's important that you download Remind and register. We use this for last-minute communication about the pool, meets, weather, etc.

Fireworks Sales - Largest Fundraiser for the Team

Fireworks sales are our largest fundraiser. From June 28 to July 4th, we ask that all families take at least one shift to help us. The funds raised from this event help us to purchase needed equipment, pay coaches, rent the pool, and so much more. Please note that the Gridley Invitational is the same weekend as the fireworks booth.

Extra Practice for Invitationals

Swimmers needing to increase endurance before an invitational they are registered for may come in from 6-6:30 and swim laps to build endurance. Only swimmers registered for an invitational may do this, and parents must message Coach Sarah on Remind before showing up. 

Hotels for Champs (NVAL's) 

Our hotel block for NVAL's deadline is fast approaching. Please see below for all the information. This is the largest meet of the year, and we strongly encourage swimmers to come. To qualify, swimmers must attend two invitationals. 

  • Where: Redding Aquatic Center
  • When: July 25 - 28
  • Lodging: Oxford Suites
    • Deadline to Purchase Discounted Room Block Rooms - June 25th
    • King Suite - $135 Per Night
    • 2 Queen Suite $155 Per Night
    • Call - 530-221-0100 - Mention: Oroville Orcas Swim Team 2024
    • Free Breakfast, and All Rooms are Suites
  • This meet starts Friday morning, so most families travel Thursday evening to Redding.
