Hello Orca Families,

Welcome to the 2026 Orcas Swim Season! 💙 We are so excited to have your family as part of the team and can’t wait to kick off another fun, energetic, and memorable summer together. It’s almost time to get back in the water, reconnect with teammates, and make some great new memories!

📅 Important Dates to Mark on Your Calendar:

• April 30th – Parent Meeting @ Nelson Pool, 6:30 PM
• May 4th – Swim Testing (All Swimmers)
• May 6th – First Swim Practice
• May 25th – No Practice (Holiday)

📣 Parent Meeting – April 30th (Mandatory)

This meeting is required for all families and will cover important updates for the season, including:

• Invitational sign-ups - new platform
• Volunteer hour expectations
• Fundraising opportunities
• New policies aligned with surrounding teams
• Orientation for new swim families (returning swim families may stay if they would like.)

We’ll also have time to answer any questions you may have.

🏊 Swim Testing – May 4th (5:45–8:30 PM)

All swimmers will participate in swim testing for practice group placement, based on age and skill level.

Approximate Testing Times:

• Ages 8 & Under – 5:45 PM
• Ages 9–10 – 6:15 PM
• Ages 11–12 – 6:45 PM
• Ages 13+ – 7:15 PM

Once your swimmer has finished, you are free to head out. If you have multiple swimmers, we’ll do our best to accommodate older siblings earlier when possible.

🐬 First Practice – May 6th

Swim group placements will be sent out on Tuesday, May 5th. Keep an eye on your email! This will include your swimmer’s group and practice time.

Please plan to arrive about 10 minutes early, so your swimmer has time to:

• Apply sunscreen ☀️
• Use the restroom
• Hydrate 💧
• Connect with friends 😊
